Year 4 Focus Page - May 2025
This half-term we have been writing persuasive blogs about the importance of wildlife areas around school. The children were inspired when they began to notice animal nests appearing in school with notes inside written to the children. The notes explained that it was too dangerous and messy in the environment for the animals and they didn’t feel safe outside of the classroom.
Elder class will be hosting their Reading Café this half term. The focus will be on the book Hug me by Simona Ciraolo. It is a wonderful book about someone who simply wants to find a friend to hug. Elder also performed at our music concert and demonstrated their ukulele skills for the rest of the students.
Year 4 have also started their swimming lessons. They have made a great start and are building their water confidence and safety skills. It is lovely to see how enthusiastic all the children are about these very important life skills that they are learning.
