Welcome to Year 4 information page.
A copy of the recent letters is below which contains useful information about this term. Please remember there’s lots of useful information in other parts of this website from help at home and what your child will be learning in school.
We organise parent consultation meetings throughout the year to discuss your child’s learning and in July you will receive written report.
If you have any questions or queries please contact us and the class teacher will be happy to arrange a meeting.

Ancient Greece
Over this term the Year 4 children have looked at the Ancient Greeks and what they have given us. They looked at what architecture was and used this process to design, make and then evaluate their Greek building. Throughout this they created various prototypes of things such as columns and joins to see which was best, they then used this knowledge to create a stable, free-standing structure.
Reading Café
Elm hosted a Reading Café where parents were invited to come into the classroom and join the children reading a book. The book they read was “The incredible book eating boy”. After reading the book both children and parents had fun creating reading rivers, showcasing their reading journeys from their earliest reading memory to present.
