Personal Development is an all encompassing part of life at Berridge. Every pupil is experiencing personal development every day, at home, school, when out and about with their friends.
Personal development is knowledge, attitudes, skills, relationships and behaviour. It involves thinking processes, being able to manage emotions, having a set of values to live by, building positive relationships and accessing a bank of life skills to cope with the ups and downs of every day living and stay happy, healthy and safe.
Personal development is something that continues to evolve as we progress through the life stages.
At Berridge, Personal Development isn't taught as a separate subject it is like a thread that is woven through the curriculum, at it's heart is SMSC and our school values but also links to RE, PSHE, RSHE, British Values, citizenship and enrichment events and activities,
