In school, staff are spending a considerable amount of time investigating issues that arise outside school where smartphones and online conerns take place. This is taking them away from other activities and meaning they are unable to focus more of their time on supporting children’s learning.

School recommend not giving children a smartphone, but an alternative would be an old style phone, that can only receive and make calls or texts and not access the internet or apps.
